								1. Reservation Quota for Parallel/Individual Imported Vehicles Pre-Registration Inspections

2. PPS payment is not supported by mobile devices
PPS Shop&Buy (PPS) does not support payment via browsers of mobile devices (including mobile

3. In relation to the pre-registration examination matters for parallel / individual imported Private Car, 
the Transport Department (TD) reiterates that the vehicle examination would be arranged in 
accordance with the vehicle class based on the vehicle construction and the statutory 
requirements.
To comply with the requirements for vehicle registration, the application for conducting 
pre-registration examination as Private Car1 of the following vehicles entering Hong Kong would 
not be accepted:-
•	Vehicles designed and constructed as Goods Vehicles; or
•	Vehicles that had been registered as Commercial Vehicle / non-Private Car outside Hong 
	Kong.

The TD would re-consider each application on its individual merit, if the following 
information/certification could be provided by any Individual, Company or Organisation during the
 importation of Private Car into Hong Kong for proving:-
•	The vehicle complies with the statutory requirement in relation to the specifications of 
	approved seat belts anchorage points for Private Cars; and
•	The vehicle design and construction complies with the interpretation of “Private Cars” under 
	the Laws of Hong Kong.

Department Vehicle Examination Complex.

1: Private Car means a motor vehicle constructed or adapted for use solely for the carriage of a driver and not more than 7 
passengers and their personal effects but does not include an invalid carriage, motor cycle, motor tricycle or taxi.
